She did it! Abby got right on the roller coaster

with me, she chose to sit in the last car, and away we

went. It was awesome. I was so proud of her.

Me and my five-year old daughter, Abby, are going to Hershey Park on Saturday and she is tall enough to ride the biggest roller-coasters. She says she can’t wait to ride the Super Dooper Looper and I hope she does.

This got me thinking about my own fears as a child. I never would have ridden a roller coaster at her age, but was that my fear, or my parents ?? How can I raise a fearless child? Do I want to ?? How much fear is the right amount?

Really I just want to make sure that Abby doesn’t miss out on anything because she was afraid to try. So far, so good on the roller coaster front. Now, if I can just get her to stop “fearing” vegetables.
